# Settings

> Open Settings and change appearance, AI features, your account, and more

## Open Settings

* **Desktop browser and Mac app**: Click your profile at the bottom of the sidebar, then choose "Settings". You can also press `Cmd+,` (`Ctrl+,` on Windows or Linux)
* **iOS app and mobile browser**: Open the sidebar with the button at the top left, then tap the settings button at the bottom left

## What's in Settings

Settings are grouped differently depending on where you use Inki.

| Settings | Desktop browser and Mac app | iOS app and mobile browser |
| - | - | - |
| Display name and profile image | Account | Account (in the iOS app, tap your name at the top of Settings) |
| Log out, change email or password | Account | Account |
| Theme, language, font, text size | Appearance | Appearance |
| Turn AI Edit, Inline Generation, and Rephrase on or off | AI Features | AI settings |
| Rules and memory | Memory | Writing rules (iOS app version 1.0.9 or later) |
| Plan and credits | Plan, Usage | Plan |
| AI reply notifications | Notifications (Mac app only) | Not available |

In the iOS app and mobile browsers, Settings also includes "Trash". See [Organize and Find Notes](/en/features/notebook-operations#trash).

## Appearance

In "Appearance", you can change:

* **Theme**: Auto, Light, or Dark. Auto follows your device setting
* **Language**: The interface language (Japanese or English)
* **Font**: Standard, Classic, or Focus
* **Text size**: Set the editor and chat text sizes separately to Small, Default, Large, or Extra Large

## Turn AI Features On or Off

Turn AI Edit, Inline Generation, and Rephrase on or off in "AI Features" in a desktop browser or the Mac app, or in "AI settings" in the iOS app or a mobile browser. See [AI Editing](/en/features/ai-editing), [Inline Generation](/en/features/inline-generation), and [Rephrase](/en/features/rephrase) for how each feature works.

## Account

In "Account", you can change your display name and profile image, or log out. In the iOS app, tap your name at the top of Settings to change your display name and profile image.

Options to change your email address and password appear when your account can sign in with a password. They don't appear if you only sign in with Google or Apple.

You can also delete your account from "Account". Before you do, read "What happens when I delete my account?" in the [FAQ](/en/faq).

## Rules and Memory

Review and edit the rules and memory AI uses in "Memory" in a desktop browser or the Mac app, or in "Writing rules" in the iOS app (version 1.0.9 or later) or a mobile browser. See [AI Assistant](/en/features/agent#view-memory) for memory and [Custom Instructions](/en/features/notebook#custom-instructions) for rules.

## Plans and Notifications

Change your plan, check credits, or buy more in "Plan" and "Usage" ("Plan" in the iOS app and mobile browsers). See [Plans & Pricing](/en/plans-pricing).

In the Mac app, "Notifications" controls AI reply notifications. See the [FAQ](/en/faq) for details.

## Keyboard Shortcuts

In a desktop browser or the Mac app, press `Cmd+/` (`Ctrl+/` on Windows or Linux) to see all keyboard shortcuts. You can also click your profile at the bottom of the sidebar and choose "Help" > "Keyboard shortcuts". The iOS app and mobile browsers don't have a shortcut list.
