1. Create a Folder

Folders organize your notes.
  1. Click “New folder” in the sidebar
  2. Enter a folder name
  3. Add custom instructions if needed
AI will reference notes in this folder to help you write consistently.

2. Create a Note and Start Writing

  1. Click “New note”
  2. Enter a title and start typing
  3. Start writing with AI features

Try AI Features

Inki has several AI features to help you write. Try them as you go.

Inline Generation

Press Cmd+J or / to generate text on the spot.

AI Editing

Select text and AI will suggest improvements.

Rephrase

Select text to see different ways to say it.
