What is Review
Review checks your whole note and lists areas to improve. Reply to a suggestion to make a focused change. Review is available in desktop browsers and the Mac app. The iOS app and mobile browsers don’t have Review. To review a note, open it in a desktop browser or the Mac app.What It Checks
- Logical gaps or contradictions
- Missing context or assumptions
- Sections that are hard to follow
- Missing elements for the note’s purpose
- Claims that need fact-checking
- Structure and wording
How to Use
- Click the Review button. You can also set a focus, such as “Review this for SEO”
- Review the suggestion cards in the sidebar
- Click a card to jump to the relevant section
- To handle one suggestion at a time, select “Apply to note” or “Request a fix”
- When two or more suggestions remain, click “Fix all N suggestions” at the bottom. Review applies direct fixes to your note and sends the rest to Assistant in one request
- Select “Check off” for suggestions that need no change
- Click “End review” after you’ve handled every suggestion
Reviewing Long Notes
Review receives the full note without skipping the middle. If the note and instructions exceed the input limit, the review won’t start. Follow the message to shorten your note, then try again. A review also stops if added search results push it over the input limit. Credits used for generation and searches completed before that point are still charged.Choose a Model
In a desktop browser or the Mac app, choose the model before you start a review from the model menu at the top of the Review panel. The default is Auto. See Models and Reasoning for details about the available models.Fact-checking and Sources
Review can search the web when a claim needs verification. It prioritizes noting claims it couldn’t verify and presenting sources based on the pages it consulted.Review vs. AI Editing
