What Are Credits

Credits are units consumed when you use AI features. Each time you generate or edit text with AI, credits are used. You only spend what you use.

How Many Credits You’ll Use

Actual credit usage varies based on content length and conversation.

Plans

Inki offers three plans in English: Free, Pro, and Max. Higher plans come with more monthly credits. Pro and Max plan members can also purchase additional credits. Check inki.so for the latest pricing and plan details.

Billing Cycles

  • Pro is available with monthly or annual billing
  • Max is available with monthly billing only
  • Annual plans still add and reset credits every month instead of granting a full year of credits at once

How Credits Work

  • Each plan gives you monthly credits that reset every month and do not carry over
  • Bonus credits, purchased credits, and plan carryover credits can carry over
  • Plan carryover credits have an expiration date
  • Check expiration dates in Settings. Credits that expire before your next monthly reset are used first
  • Pro and Max plan members can purchase additional credits
  • Check your balance in the “Plan” tab in Settings

Plan Changes

Upgrade

  • Takes effect immediately
  • A new billing period starts, and new plan credits apply right away
  • When you switch immediately from a paid monthly plan to the same plan billed annually, or to a higher plan billed monthly or annually, unused credits become plan carryover credits
  • Changes from an annual plan and changes to a lower plan are not eligible for plan carryover credits

Downgrade

  • Takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • Keep your current plan until then

AI Models and Plans

Most models are available on every plan. Claude Opus models and GPT-5.6 Sol require Pro or Max. Models that are not available on your current plan appear locked. Select Auto to use a recommended model available on your current plan. See Models and Reasoning for details on choosing a model and setting reasoning.
