What Are Credits
Credits are units consumed when you use AI features. Each time you generate or edit text, or create or edit an image with AI, credits are used. You only spend what you use.How Many Credits You’ll Use
Actual credit usage varies based on the selected model, content length, and conversation.
Credit use for image generation and image editing varies based on your instructions, the image used for editing, and the generated result.
Plans
Inki offers three plans in English: Free, Pro, and Max. Higher plans come with more monthly credits. Pro and Max plan members can also purchase additional credits.
Check inki.so for the latest pricing and plan details.
Billing Cycles
- Pro is available with monthly or annual billing
- Max is available with monthly billing only
- Annual plans still add and reset credits every month instead of granting a full year of credits at once
How Credits Work
- Each plan gives you monthly credits that reset every month and do not carry over
- Bonus credits, purchased credits, and plan carryover credits can carry over
- Plan carryover credits have an expiration date
- Check expiration dates in Settings. Credits that expire before your next monthly reset are used first
- Pro and Max plan members can purchase additional credits
- Check your balance in the “Plan” tab in Settings
- If AI Editing, Inline Generation, or Review ends with an error before producing a usable result, it doesn’t use credits
- If AI Assistant ends with an error, only the work it actually processed uses credits. If it processed nothing, it doesn’t use credits
- Retrying after an error is a new request and uses credits for what it actually processes
- Image generation and image editing use credits once a result image is created. Discarding the result without adding it to your note or replacing the original image does not refund those credits. Generations recorded as failed by the server don’t use credits. If the app stops waiting before processing finishes, a generation that later completes can still use credits
Plan Changes
For a paid subscription purchased on the web, open the “Plan” tab in Settings to change your plan.- Open “Manage subscription” and choose a plan and billing cycle
- Review the charge and effective date on the confirmation screen. If credits carry over, you can also check their balance and expiration date
- Click “Confirm change”. If your card issuer requires verification, follow the on-screen instructions to complete it
Upgrade
- Switching to a higher plan, or from monthly to annual billing on the same plan, takes effect immediately
- A new billing period starts, and new plan credits apply right away
- Unused credits for the current month become plan carryover credits whether your paid plan is billed monthly or annually. Check the confirmation screen for their expiration date
- When upgrading from annual billing, prepaid fees for months that haven’t started are applied to the charge. Any amount left over stays on your account and is applied to future invoices
Downgrade or Switch the Same Plan from Annual to Monthly Billing
- Switching to a lower plan, or from annual to monthly billing on the same plan, takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- Keep your current plan until then
- No plan carryover credits are granted
- To cancel a scheduled change, find the upcoming switch under “Current Plan” in Settings
